Tutorial Video

  2. Drafting:

    1. Choose either Polyline or Rectangle to create an entity.
    2. Entities drawn must be closed polylines in __BN_VentilationDuct layer.

Drawing Conventions

  • Ventilation Ducts should be within the BUA Outline for habitable floors and within the Parking polyline for Parking floors.
  • Ventilation Ducts drawn within a floor plan are considered to be at the floor level, not the ceiling level, for all floors except the lowest basement.
  • In the lowest basement, Ventilation Ducts are considered at the ceiling level and are not deducted from the gross parking area.
  • All Ventilation Ducts in the basement floor plan must align with the Ventilation Ducts in the floor plan immediately above ground level.
    • Example: If a stilt floor exists above the basement floors, a Ventilation Duct polyline must be aligned with the Ventilation Duct polyline in the basement floor plan.
  • The Ventilation Duct area will not be deducted from the parking area in the bottommost basement.

Check Points

  1. The Ventilation Duct must be drawn completely within the BUA outline polyline for habitable floors.
  2. The Ventilation Duct must be drawn completely within the Parking outline polyline for parking floors like Parking, Stilt, Podium, and Basement floor plans.
  3. Ventilation Ducts must not overlap with other entities within the floor plan like parking units, accessories etc.
